During the previous years we've encountered several Time Attack enthusiasts and since the official list for the first round of 2010 is released, we can confirm that several of them are returning. Join us when we look a bit back and a bit forward with the new Time Attack line-up for Automaxx Streetpower Zandvoort.
Semi-Pro
In the Semi-Pro class we find a lot of new chaps. With the addition of the Extreme class this year several drivers from last years Pro class and Semi-Pro class have been moved up a class, which has given the Semi-Pro a lot of room for new drivers. Not all of them are fresh meat for the track grinder though. For instance we see Mark Henning making a reappearance with his Alfa Romeo 155 in full combat look.
OMI Performance will be sending two demo-cars of their new performance parts for Honda to this first Time Attack round. One of those cars is an EK Civic with a 200hp turbo engine. The company and team wishes to demonstrate the quality and capabilities of their products. Somebody who is also familiar to us, but making his debut to the Time Attack matches is Mark Baarendse with his Toyota Supra from Jeroentje.nl.
Aside from the returning and familiar drivers we see a lot of interesting cars in the line-up. Mostly lightweight cars will be running over the track in this class, accompanied by some heavy-weights with a bit more juice under the hoods, but all in all a fair diversity. An Audi S2, Peugeot 206 GTI Turbo and the newly built K20 CRX from Rising Sun Performance will certainly have our attention.
